Full Adoption Process
At Cascade Mountain Maine Coons, we want the adoption process to be exciting, transparent, and stress-free for everyone involved — especially the kittens.
Pricing & Breeding Rights:
Our kittens range from $1,500–$3,500, depending on the pairing of our Kings and Queens.
We do not offer breeding rights for every kitten; when available, they are an additional cost.
Reserving Your Kitten:
We prefer families to visit in person to choose their kitten and place a deposit, but we
understand that travel isn’t always realistic. For long-distance families, we’re happy to
arrange live video calls and accept digital deposits.
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your kitten.
Payment methods accepted:
- Preferred: Venmo or Cash App (automatic receipts provided)
- Also accepted: Cash
- Never accepted: Checks
Final Payment:
The remaining balance is due at pickup, unless we agree on other arrangements in advance.
Staying Connected Until Pickup:
Once your kitten is reserved, you’re welcome to visit (within reason) or schedule video calls while they grow. We also share frequent photo and video updates on our Facebook page and directly with you.
When Your Kitten Can Come Home:
Our kittens stay with us for 10–14 weeks, depending on their individual readiness and a
clean bill of health from our veterinarian. We focus on ensuring they are:
- Well-socialized
- Fully litter-trained
- Healthy and thriving
Your kitten will go home with:
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- Deworming
- Microchip
- Veterinary health check
- 30 days of optional pet insurance
- Toys, catnip, and a small blanket with the scent of their home for comfort
Spay & Neuter:
We do not alter our kittens before they leave us. We believe Maine Coons benefit from waiting until at least 12 months old before being fixed. However, we respect every family’s decision on timing.
Pickup & Extended Stay:
Pickup week will be planned in advance after the final vet check. We understand life
happens, but if your kitten needs to stay with us beyond the planned date, please arrange this ahead of time.
Our Commitment & Right to Refuse:
We take matching kittens to the right homes seriously. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an adoption if we feel it’s not in the kitten’s best interest.
Staying in Touch:
We love updates! We encourage families to share photos, milestones, and questions for years to come. If any concerns arise, please come to us first. We may not have all the answers, but
